I've made a few changes in the last few months. Things that make my life easier and mean that the girls can keep busy while I'm out of action feeding the baby.
The best of all the things I've done is creating a craft area for eve. Before now we just did crafts at the table. What this meant was a constantly messy table and a scramble to get things tidy for lunch, dinner or one of my students arriving. Since the kitchen is always in a semi-used state, it's generally not clean and tidy for more than a few seconds in the day... Not all at the same time at least!
What this means is that I can have some activity always left out to just pick up and get on with. We have a massive box of paper that's been printed on one side from some warehouse. I've just got my craft scissors out of the spare room and cutting bits of paper up with different patterns has kept her very happy until
Lunch. She also has her fuzzy felt packs over there, crayons and stencils.

We had a lovely care package in the mail the other day with ribbons and sparkly bits in for the girls, which has spurred me to get things more organised... If I can easily get to things i'm more likely to use them doing fun things.
At first I worried that leaving them unassisted while crafting would result in a huge mess for me to clear up. But Willow pretty much copies Eve and Eve is surprisingly proficient! I obviously don't leave paint and things like that out for them. Or things I have plans for myself.

I'd love to hear your thoughts... however.... if you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything at all :)
