So anyway... his name is...
Isaac Andrew Worthington
I felt like Andrew should be his name, but for reasons we won't go into we decided it wasn't his first name. I wrote a list of names and Nick chose Isaac from that list. He likes that you can shorten it to Zac... So now he has two nicknames... but mainly I'm trying to call him by his name, because I was still calling Willow "the baby" a couple of weeks before Isaac was born!
We actually had a girls name picked out that we both liked, but clearly we'll have to save it for later!
There is still the option of another middle name, because Nick and his dad both have 2 middle names, and it seems like a nice tradition to continue. I doubt it'll happen though, since I'm due to register the name on Tuesday and we haven't really discussed it any further.
Isaac is a great name! And I like your son's middle name better than mine (still a sore point).
ReplyDeleteYeah, I felt a bit weird with it, I think partly because I know a few people who have named sons Isaac recently (no-one particularly close to us, but still) and also, it's the first time I haven't been totally in control of the first name.
ReplyDeleteThe middle name I like, but sometimes it's difficult to get past someone you don't like having the same name... even when there's nice people with that name.
At least my memory of teaching is fading, otherwise we'd have literally noooooo names to choose from... they'd all make my blood boil!!
Silly thing is, we had a girls name that we both would have been happy with (incidentally the same one I wanted for Eve, but Nick didn't like back then... oh, how Fringe has changed his mind...)
