I've been meaning to post these since the other weekend...

Our trip to Preston for a very lovely friends Sealing in the Temple. A sealing is something which is unique to Latter-day Saints, whereas a normal wedding ceremony binds two people together in a covenant, or promise with God (or the state if it's a civil ceremony) for Time: "till death parts us"; a Temple Sealing binds them together for Time and all Eternity. Mind blowing, yes. Fairly terrifying, absolutely. Obviously there's other things that go around it, but I won't bother boring you with all the details. It was a very special day, and I was honoured to be there.
The happy couple around the side of the temple, the marble engravings are of the sun,
moon in various stages and right at the end there's a star, but I'm not sure if it's in this photo...
Temple grounds

So amusingly enough, after the ceremony, we all headed off to the pub over the road for some lunch.... Eve eating some chocolate wedding cake... by this point it's been a LOOOONG day for her, since she had her nap fairly early and has been playing with her good friend and behaving fairly well... which is hard work for anyone really.
enoug.

Cutting the cake... but I couldn't be bothered to move it all...

After the pub we found a park and played with our friends until it was nearly bedtime, so that the girlies would be able to sleep on the way home... it sort of worked, and we have a lovely time.
Some photos at home again... I think this was our first day with the new hens (who still aren't keen on us)

Really bad photos, so I'm trying to get some better ones with them lose in the garden. They really are gorgeous chickens!
Eve eating chocolate ice-cream with me one afternoon while Willow napped. We had a lovely time just the two of us as I recall :)

Temple groundsLots of photos of the girls playing in the grounds. The nicest thing about our church is the fact that it's very family oriented... while we try to be reverent on the temple site, no one even raised an eyebrow at the girls antics!
