The maternity trousers I made the other night using this tutorial. Nick took some photos for me. I don't normally do bump photos, but I think these look quite nice. There's another tutorial here I'd like to try too...
Now I just need to sew in some elastic, because with cutting out the waistband, nothing is really holding them up... they're a UK size 14, and what I would normally wear when not pregnant, if not a size 16... but somehow my hips and butt disappear when I'm pregnant, so it's hard to keep trousers up. The T-shirt part is a little saggy too, so I'm thinking of inserting a little bit of thin elastic there too... but then I will be getting bigger (as Nick reminded me the other night) so I'm not sure it's worth it.
The garden going crazy... It feels like the sweet peas are never going to stop flowering, even though I've given up deadheading... but that's fine with me :) this way I get loads of lovely flowers AND plenty of seeds for next year!
A really blurry photo of Eve carrying her Dora (sigh) doll in her child sized sling :)
The duck foot slippers... I've nearly finished the second, which is far better on the heel since I paid more attention to the short rows and picking up the wraps (only one hole in the second one!) Unfortunately they only just fit Willow, and these are the largest size... 2-3year old I think!! Which is weird, because she has tiny feet. There's no way these would fit her cousin whom I was planning on making some for Christmas... unless I manage to modify the pattern...

The slipper sock that I've knitted for Eve. It's going to have some sort of sole on when I'm finished. I've lent my cable needle out so I can't finish the other at the moment, but that's fine, I've got a few other big projects on the go...
Strangely enough the bigger projects are making me feel more settled. I don't have to constantly be referring to the patter, I can just knit rows and rows without worrying much.A bowl of wheat my mum decided to glean from the wasteland which is my back garden. I let the "corn" that we feed the hens grow once we took out the enclosure, and it did pretty well. Harvesting it seems to be a lot of hard work though... I'm not sure it's worth it!!

Willow in one of my old dresses. I love this dress.

I'd love to hear your thoughts... however.... if you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything at all :)
